YOUtopia

YOUtopia, currently in its development phase, is a program to elevate the leadership of and green public gardens, zoos, aquariums, and museums through an institutional commitment to reduce their climate impact, and engage their hundreds of millions of annual visitors in climate solutions.

ecoAmerica has partnered with American Public Gardens Association (APGA) to cooperatively develop a series of standard yet customizable educational exhibit signage, communications, and behavioral engagement mechanisms modeled on national best practices that public gardens, zoos, aquariums, and museums can easily implement. It will leverage the reach of these cultural institutions to engage hundreds of millions of annual visitors in climate solutions. Americans will be able to "see with their own eyes" to learn about climate change, experiencing the demonstration of impacts and solutions globally, regionally, and locally in a fully immersive learning environment. Designed to connect with Americans' daily lives and values, YOUtopia will inspire and provide the opportunity for visitors to take actions (personal, civic) to be part of the solution.
